| This recording was made in June 22,
2003. The bird, Acrocephalus palustris, is not very common in Sweden, still you can usually get some opportunity to record him around Midsummers Eve, preferably at midnight. He is mostly unaware of what is happening around him and you can easily come close. The distance here was about 5 meters, which was absolutely necessary considering heavy traffic by cars only 200 meters away. The use of a parabol was imperative. I used a Stereo DATmic microphone and a PRO5B handle connected to a Tascam DA-P1. Modem users: I'm sorry for the file-size. The recording is 2.35 min long and needed to be sampled at a high bit rate. All the best, Klas. |
