The measurements were
carried out in accordance with the substitution method. A
3" loudspeaker served as a sound source and its response was measured at 25 m distance with a MBNM 550 EL reference microphone. The reference mic was then substituted with the parabolic microphone and new measurments were carried out. These were scaled with the reference measurement to obtain the final frequency response of the parabolic microphone. |
